For the vaccination of healthy pigs 3 weeks of age or older as an aid in the prevention of viremia and as an aid in the control of lymphoid depletion caused by Porcine Circovirus Type 2. Efficacy was shown by challenging pigs 6 weeks following vaccination with a single 2 mL dose. Efficacy for the two 1 mL dose regimen was shown by challenging pigs 3 weeks following the second vaccination. Duration of immunity has been demonstrated with a single 2 mL dose by challenging pigs at four months post vaccination.
DOSE: Aseptically inject 2 mL intramuscularly into pigs 3 weeks of age or older or may be administered as a 1 mL dose at 3 weeks of age followed by a second 1 mL dose 3 weeks later.
CAUTION: Store in the dark at 2° to 7°C (35° to 45°F). AVOID FREEZING. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Allergic reactions, although rare, may occur. The antidote is epinephrine.
Contains gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives.
